Earthbound/Mother

It's one of my favorite Nintendo Video Game series! Eartbound is a video game series made by APE Inc (Shigesto Itoi being the director) and unlike most RPGs, rather than using swords and shields, you get to use every day items like YoYos and Baseball bats in the many turn-based battles you and your partners encounter! The games are 2D, and you start off as a boy around the age of 10 and set off on a journey to save the world from the evils that await! Attacks also consist of "PSI" the magic in the game, which allows you to use special attacks! The series is very fun! Now, here's a some images:

Here is the complete history (written by me!) Of the game series:

In Japan, the Earthbound series was called Mother because the creator, Shigesto Itoi, was moved by John Lennon's song "Mother". The first was a game for the Famicom (Or NES, in the USA) and was going to be released in America as Earthbound, but at the last second, they (Nintendo) decided to not sell it because it was declared unprofitable. So when "Mother 2" came out for the Super Famicom in Japan, and then for the SNES in America, Nintendo released it as "Earthbound" in America which would have been the title for the original Mother if it had been released in the USA. While this was happening, a ROM group had somehow got their hands on the unreleased American version of the original Mother for the NES which was going to be called Earthbound. They copied the game and sold it (without being licensed by Nintendo, of course) calling it "Earthbound Zero" because everyone in America thought that Earthbound for the SNES was the original now. Then, Nintendo started working on "Mother 3" for the 64DD, a Japan-Only add-on to the N64 that was essential to playing some games. However, the game was later cancelled due to the glitches and bugs in it, and that the Gamecube had already been released while the N64 and 64DD were forgotten by some. But since Nintendo was determined to release Mother 3, they instead released it on the GBA. Also, Nintendo released Mother 1 + 2 for the GBA, which had Mother for the Famicom and Mother 2 for the Super Famicom in one cartridge. So in Japan, the games are Mother for the Famicom (NES), Mother 2 for the Super Famicom (SNES), Mother 3, cancelled and for the 64DD, Mother 3 for the GBA, and Mother 1 + 2 for the GBA. However, in America, the only games are Earthbound for the SNES, and Earthbound Zero for the NES. This is the history for the Mother/Earthbound games.

So that's all for now!

The minus world

The minus world is a glitch world in Super Mario Bros. for the NES had! Supposedly, it's because Nintendo was using it as a test world, but forgot to take it out! The minus world is an underwater world, like many in Super Mario Bros, but when you beat it, Mario just suddenly appears at the beginning of the level again! O_o That being said, there's no way to escape the Minus World other than reseting the game or getting a game over and not holding A while pressing start on the titles screen! Also, like all levels in the game, when you go halfway, and lose a life, you restart from the middle of the level, (IF you got that far :P) but in the Minus World, you start at a hole, so, like in all underwaterb levels, if you don't mash A, you'll fall immediatly and lose ANOTHER life! :o:P:D:lol:So yeah, not the fariest of levels either...In the NES version, it's only one level, but in the Japanese-Only Famicom Disk System version, it's 4, a whole world! This was because Nintendo already knew about the Minus World by the time the Famicom Disk launched in Japan, so they though, "Well, we might as well make it a world!" The Famicom Disk system version is just plain wacky, there will be land enemies in underwater levels, floating Princess Peach sprites, etc. But one question remains: "How do you get to the Minus World?" Here's how: OK, first of all, it's in world 1-2. That's the second level ever. The underground one, remember? Finish the level up to the part with the pipe you have to go through to get outside and reach the flagpole. DON'T go through the pipe. Instead, jump on it. Then, bash these two bricks:

After you've done that, here's where it gets tricky...Stand to the left-most side of the pipe. That's the very edge to the left. (But make sure it's the VERY EDGE, if Mario can go any further to the left without falling, then you're doing it wrong!) Once you're therem hold down B. then duck. Now jump. You should be at the left edge of the pipe at the end of world 1-1, have bashed the second and third bricks fro the right of the pipe, be holding down B, and ducking. Now thet you're doing all of these things, jump. Just when you've taken off, hold down right, but still hold down B and Duck. Mario should now jump into the wall of bricks on the right side, and go through it, like this:

And then...

Now you will be in the same room as the room as the warp zone, but it won't say, "Welcome to warp zone!" And there won't be numbers for each world you can go into. Instead, pirhana plants will come out of the pipes. Here are what the pipes lead to:

So the one to the right leads you to the Minus World, the one in the middle is world 5 (DON'T ASK! :P) and if you go near the one to the right, the room will change to the regular warp zone. Go in the Minus World, and you're there! :) Hope this helps all of those classic gamers (like me! :))!  Here are some images of this amazing world:

Animal Crossing

First, let's have a history lesson!!!

Animal Forest

The series started with Animal Forest for the N64, only realesed in Japan! Here's a commeicial for it:

If any of you know Japanese, PLEASE let me know what they are saying in the forums or Guestbook! Thank-You!

Nintendo was planning on translation Animal Forest as, "Animal Crossing" to the US, but the Gamecube had just been realesed and many people had lost interest in their N64s, so Nintendo ported the title over to the US on teh Gamecube! Differences included Japanese Holidays bbeing changed to American ones, some of the NES game you could play (some in Animal Forest were exclusive to Japan) and a few little things here and there, such as more items. Here's the boxart we all know and love:

Animal Crossing is only for the US, and in Japan it is simpy known as Animal Forest Plus!

Animal Crossing: Wild World

In Japan, this was known as Come To Animal Forest! It's very similar to Animal Crossing, but different at the same time! The best new addition is probably the Multiplayer!

Animal Crossing: City Folk

The latest game in the series! Most people find ths game too much like AC:WW, but I think it has enough new features to be worth it. Plus, it comes with Wii Speak! I can talk to my friends without wasting phone money now! :D

Pret-E suckish...:(

For those who don't know that much about Animal Crossing, please read my review at Gamespot!

I just love this game. I started with getting animal crossing: wild world for the DS. So I needed the GC version. There are SO many things to do in animal crossing!!! First, they let you pick a name, a gender, and you even get to name the town that you're heading to! The town is full of trees, green, and 3D! Other animals will also live their life in the town with houses that you may enter. You can talk to the animals who have unique names, and even personalitys! There are over a hundred things these animals can say to you, so it NEVER gets boring! You get your own house, too! You can upgrade your house (But it's very expensive...:?), and put items (furniture, chairs statues, wardrobes, beds, desks, lamps, NES games [which you can play, there are 15 at all, not special ones like super mario bros. and the legend of zelda, actually these can be obtained with action replay, NOT recomended, but you CAN get games like "balloon fight" or "donkey kong"], special items like 8-bit mario sprites, etc.) in it, too! You can even put in wallpaper and floorings! They are numerous ways to get these items like an item store (the best way), animals, etc! There will also be a tailor, where you can design your own works of art on a canvas (which actually kind of reminds me of MS paint XD) and then display them (other animals can come in and get your design too, no joke!), store them, or keep them! What you do with designs is put them as your clothes or umbrella. Also, tom nook (the owner of the item shop) owns clothes and umbrellas that you buy, but you can display these in your house! There are also special town events that take place such as "the fishing owurney" or "toy day". This game never gets old, and asspcially not boring! Also, it's cute, midgety, and chibi! Whether you'rea boy, a girl, a man, or a woman, you'll LOVE this heke of a game!

I wrote it quite fast...Anyway, so this is basicly what Animal Crossing is! Thank God this paragraph is finally done, Iv'e been meaning to make it for so long!
